I was out at Llynnau (Lake) Mwmbyr the other day, hoping for some lovely light across the lake and up to the Snowdon horseshoe – with maybe even a nice reflection of Snowdon in the lake (yes I know it’s been done before, but it’s still lovely!) Unfortunately it was not to be with mist and low cloud across the horseshoe and surrounding mountains. However, the sun was out and shining the other way, so when I turned around I was met with this intriguing scene! I hurried a bit further on to get the river running through into the picture and then had a lovely half hour watching the changing light illuminate different parts of the scene – but never quite managing to cut through that mist. Magical and mysterious.
